It's 11:00pm now and it looks like I'm going to be able to get in 30 minutes or so. So I'll just call today day zero.

I thought I had a pretty good finger span on guitar, now I'm lucky to stretch from fret 2-5. It seems that placing your finger squarely behind the fret is much more important on bass than acoustic.
