Then...it grew on me and totally replaced the LP as my main guitar!

I bought one of the first Ibanez channel switching amps; a little 1x12 combo that was covered in brown vinyl. Pretty good sound, but it was made of particleboard and started to fall apart on me. That one was really a POC and went away...far away. I still don't trust Ibanez amps to this day. :)

The Deluxe MemoryMan I had worked really well for awhile then started to get noisy (where you hear the processor clicking), and though it sometimes had a good analog delay sound, it was replaced by an Ibanez (go figure) analog delay. I still have that one.

I recently got a Kyser capo, the quick change one after reading up on it and checking it out as much as possible. When I got it, it look cheap and crummy, with that little light-duty brass pin and that spring that looks like it's going to pop out at any moment. Works pretty well though despite all that. I'm going to try a Shubb next.

I do like the idea of going the opposite way though: getting something that people say to stay away from and tweaking it so it does. That way there's no expectations to begin with and you have fun (up to a point) and wind up with something personalized.
