Sorry I don't have the electric intro... but there are numerous versions at CountryTabs.com. Most all of the posts that I've seen of this song all say to place a capo on the first fret and play C, F & G... which is the same result, but maybe not quite as easy as tuning down and playing D, G & A.

I've listened to the guitars in that song and I can't decide if I hear a capo or if they are all tuned down. The offical sheet music has it in D with a note that the song is in Db, but with no mention of a capo or tuning down.

I did this song many years ago when it first came out, as it fits my vocal range quite well, and just recently remembered it and decided to add it to my books of tabbed songs.

Got any Keith Urban tabs? It looks like you are a fan of him too.

RIGHT WHERE I NEED TO BE – GARY ALLAN (TUNE DOWN 1/2 STEP – Key of Db)

INTRO 4X: | | |

VERSE 1:

THERE'S A PLANE_ FLYIN' OUTTA HERE TONIGHT,

DESTINATION NEW OR_LEANS.

BOSS MAN SAYS MY BIG PROMOTION'S ON THE LINE.

HE SAYS THAT'S RIGHT WHERE, I_ NEED TO BE_.

VERSE 2:

LATELY I'VE BEEN ON THE ROAD, MORE THAN I'VE BEEN HOME.

ALL THIS LEAVIN' HER ALONE_ IS KIL_LIN' ME.

AND HOLDIN' HER RIGHT NOW HAS GOT ME THINKIN' MORE & MORE.

THIS IS RIGHT WHERE, I_ NEED TO BE_.

CHORUS:

WHERE WHEN I HEAR HER I CAN SEE HER I CAN

SMELL HER SWEET PERFUME. I CAN

FEEL HER SKIN AGAINST ME WHEN I_ SLEEP.

WHERE I WON'T MISS HER I CAN KISS HER ANY

TIME THAT I WANT TO.

YEAH THAT'S RIGHT WHERE, I_ NEED TO BE_.

YEAH THAT'S RIGHT WHERE, I_ NEED TO BE__.

WEOW | | | | ' |

VERSE 3:

THERE'S A PLANE_ FLYING OUTTA HERE TONIGHT,

WITH AN EMPTY FIRST CLASS SEAT.

CAUSE I FINALLY GOT ALL MY PRIORITIES IN LINE.

I'M RIGHT WHERE, I_ NEED TO BE_.

YEAH I'M RIGHT WHERE, I_ NEED TO BE__.
