Yeah I got an Eagles Greatest Hits song book that has no intros... like every song begins with the first verse. Check out the Hal Leonard series of books called their Play-A-Long series. Each book in the series has 8 songs and a CD with backing tracks. One with the lead guitar and one without the lead guitar, typically no rhythm guitar and never any vocals.

I already have the two Clapton books, the Bob Seger book and a few others with various artists and songs. The quality of the backing tracks is pretty good and will certainly improve your timing. They typically run $12 - $15 each, and often times if you buy three the fourth one is free.

It depends on the book...I have the Blues Play-A-Long book and it has Pride & Joy with everything but Hoochie Coochie Man only the melody/lead...

I want to get the Bob Seger book but Amazon was out...I do have the Rockabilly and it has everything in it...

OK - Here's the intro tabbed off the original recording... somewhat combined with the acoustic version since the lead guitar doesn't fade out the first time around. So this is the version you want for solo performance.

Intro:

1/E |-------------------|--------------|---------------|-7-8-10-|-10-|
2/B |-----10b11b10-8-10-|-10b11b10-8---|-10b11b10-8-10-|--------|this|
3/G |-7-----------------|------------9-|---------------|--------|note|
4/D |-------------------|--------------|---------------|--------|last|
5/A |-------------------|--------------|---------------|--------|time|
6/E |-------------------|--------------|---------------|--------|only|

INTRO: 2X

1/E |--------------------|---------------|---------------|----------|this
2/B |--------------------|---------------|---------------|-12-13-15-|-15-|
3/G |------14bhb14-12-14-|-14bhb14-12----|-14bhb14-12-14-|----------|note,
4/D |-12-----------------|------------14-|---------------|----------|last
5/A |--------------------|---------------|---------------|----------|time
6/E |--------------------|---------------|---------------|----------|only

Are both of these the intro or are they 2 different versions? Or do you play the first part one time and the second part 2 times?

Sorry I'm just a bit confused here...

Thanks
