There's plenty of songs I do that on, and it doesn't take too long to get used to. Sometimes a refingering is in order, but it's worth it :)

C
Shed a tear cause I'm missing you
    G
I'm still allright to smile (Verse)
A D
Girl I think about you every day now

C
Was a time when I wasn't sure
        G
But you set my mind at ease
A D
There is no doubt, you're in my heart now

C G
Sad woman take it slow
        C Em (Chorus)
It will work itself out fine
C G D
All we need is just a little patience

C G
Sad sugar make it slow and
   C Em
It comes together fine
C G D
All we need is just a little patience

Sit here on the stairs ( I left out the chord changes for the 2nd verse for you to figure out)
Cause I'd rather be alone ( I promise it's the same pattern)
If I can't have you right now
I'll wait dear

Sometimes I get so tense
But I can't speed up the time
You know love, there's one more thing
To consider

Sad woman take it slow
And things will be just fine
You and I just use a little patience

Sad sugar take the time
Cause the lights are shining bright
You and I got what it takes to make it

D (This part I would add the Dsus2 and Dsus4 to color the chord like the recording)
We don't fake it
D
Ahh and never break it
D
Cause I can't take it

G C
A little patience
G C
Mhh Yeah
(This strumming pattern is just a little different)
(DDUDU) (DDUDU) (Going from D to D/F# to G sounds best for this outro part to me)
D D/F#
I've been walking the streets tonight
G G
Just trying to get it right
D D/F#
It's hard to see with so many around
G G
Noone doesn't like my stucking the ground
D D/F#
And the streets don't change but maybe the name
G G
I ain't got time for the game
        D
Cause I need you
    D/F# G
Yeah Yeah cause I need you
      D
Uh I need you
      D/F#
Woh I need you
          G C D
Uhh this time

I'm pretty sure that the chords in this last part of the song are D and G instead of G and C. If I remember correctly towards the very end there's an F in there too.Yep, D & G are the right interval - although I've never checked the key as I only really mess around with that one, and only the end section (I slap it onto the end of the Manic Street Preachers' Enola/Alone, as that has a reprise that sounds the same).

There's also an extra little bit to add in, a Dsus2/F# (sounds harder than it is :)) It's along the lines of one bar of D (xx0232), one of Dsus2/F# (2x0230), and two of G (320033).
