E

C	G	D	A	E
Hey, Joe. Where you goin' with that gun in your hand.
C	G	D	A	E
Hey, Joe. I said, where you goin' with that gun in your hand.
C	G	D	A	E
Alright I'm goin' down an' shoot my ol' lady.
C	G	D	A	E
You know I caught her messin' round with another man.

C	G	D	A	E
Yeah, I'm goin' down an' shoot my ol' lady.
C	G	D	A	E
You know I caught her messin' round with another man.

And that ain't too cool.

C G	D	A	E
Hey, Joe. I heard you shot your woman down, you shot her down, now.
C G	D	A	E
Hey, Joe. I heard you shot your old lady down, you shot her down in the ground.
C G	D	A	E
Yeah, Yes, I did. I shot her down. You know I caught her messin' around. Messin' around town.
C G	D	A	E
Yeah, Yes, I did. I shot her. You know I caught my old lady messin' around town. And I gave her the gun. I shot her.

C G	D	A	E
Hey Joe, can you tell me where you gonna go?
C G	D	A	E
Hey Joe, said now, where gonna run to now.

C G	D	A	E
Yeah, Hey Joe. I said where you gonna run to now, where you gonna go?
C G	D	A	E
I'm goin' way down south, way down to Mexico way!
C G	D	A	E
I'm goin' way down south, way down where I can be free!
Ain't no one gonna find me babe!

C G	D	A	E
Ain't no hangman gonna put a rope around me!
C G	D	A	E
You better believe it right now! I gotta go now!

C G	D	A	E
Hey Joe, you better run on down. Goodbye everybody.
C G	D	A	E
Hey Joe, what'd I say, run on down.

---------------------0h2---------1---
---------------------------0h2---2---
---------------------------------2---
-------------------------------------

Riff One can be used after each verse, where you have an E chord.

-------------------------------------
-------------------------------------
-------------------------------------
-------0-----0-----------------------
---0h2---0h2-------------------------
---------------3b--------------------

Riff Two: use this after each two line verse.

-------------------------------------
-------------------------------------
-------------------------------------
-------------------------------------
-------------------------------------
----0h3---0h3/5---0------------------

Riff Three, use this in the last verse.

-------------------------------------
-------------------------------------
-------------------------------------
-------------------------------------
----------2-3-4-5---------4-5-62----
----1-2-3---------2-3-4-5------------

Hopefully this is all correct, I'm doing this at work without my guitar and during the hockey game. Go Canucks!
