On the A, E/G#, D/F#, F/A, C#m/G#, Bm/F#, and F chords I personally hold a barre over the high E, B, and G strings with my index finger. There are alternate ways to fret these chords, but this makes for easy transition between chords as you just have to reposition the middle, ring, and pinky fingers. These are very common fingerings for these 4 string chords.

And I haven't really counted it out, but yes, each chord is held about 2 beats. The strumming is really sixteenth notes.

first of all thanks for this excellent song: you will become my rock guru! As you said I learnt to play the chorus and the verse in just a few minutes (the chorus at the first take!).

I have to work a bit with the intro tough because it uses chord shapes that I do not know. Regarding the chord changes, listening to the song, I realized that the full intro lasts 4 measures: am I correct thinking that all chord changes half measure?
