Ok I haven't posted here for quite a while.

Following Wes Inman's exellent tab of "Summer Of 69" here is another Bryan Adams classic.

He often uses this to finish his concerts.

The version I have written below is not faithful to other versions I have seen on tab sites in that I have replaced the open "Cmajor" chord on the first line of each verse with "Cadd9" between the "G" and "D" chords. The "Cadd9" after the "Em" is as originally intended.

I think this makes this great song a whole lot easier to play and I think more faithful to the the overall sound and the way Bryan plays it. (see attached youtube link). but I'm slightly biased as I love using "Cadd9". You can use "open Cmajor" if you prefer. I am pretty sure after watching the attached clip Bryan does not use the "Cmajor" either.

One tip, use a slow upstroke to pick out the final "G" at the end. As for the rest of the strum pattern just listen and watch the video clip , you will pick it up fairly quickly.

Intro:(G – Cadd9 - G)

Verse 1:

   G Cadd9 D G
I oughta' be workin' but I can't concentrate.

   G Cadd9 D G
I oughta' be sleepin' steada' stayin' up late.

   G Cadd9 D Em Cadd9
When I oughta' be doin' all things I should do, I think about you

   G Cadd9 D G
I oughta' be writin' but I can't find a song.

   G Cadd9 D G
Just sittin' here driftin' driftin' along.

   G Cadd9 D Em Cadd9
There's only one thing that I wanna' do, and that's think about you

Chorus:
            D G Cadd9
I think about you, I can't get no rest.

            D G Cadd9
I think about you, there ain't no one else.

                          Em Cadd9
It's all I can do, I can't help myself, yeah, I think about you

Verse 2:

G Cadd9 D G
I could go cruisin' but I've had enough.

G Cadd9 D G
I could go drinkin' but I can't stand the stuff.

G Cadd9 D Em Cadd9
It just don't do me like it used to do, I'd rather think about you

Chorus:
            D G Cadd9
I think about you, I can't get no rest.

            D G Cadd9
I think about you, there ain't no one else.

               D G Cadd9
It's all I can do, I can't help myself, yeah, I think about you

Solo:(G – Cadd9 - D - G – Cadd9 - D - G)

Chorus:

D G Cadd9
I think about you, I can't get no rest.

  D G Cadd9
I think about you, there ain't no one else.

     D G Cadd9
It's all I can do, I can't help myself, yeah, I think about you.

  D G Cadd9
I think about you, I can't get no rest.

  D G Cadd9
I think about you, there ain't no one else.

     D G Cadd9 G
It's all I can do, I can't help myself, yeah, I think about you..

Enjoy it everyone and here's the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kTz9qilOkM4

Sorry about the girl overheard in the audience, she must be in love!!!

I think this clip demonstrates what a great entertainer Bryan is. Just loves his music and gets out there and bonds with the audience. He often gets bad press as an also-ran but his unique style and output has withstood the test of time.

Chris
