Just love "Green Onions". I saw a piece of vintage film of them playing that around the time they were backing Otis Redding.                         <content:encoded><![CDATA[I used to listen to JW at dinnertime in school....used to look forward to him running down the new charts every Tuesday....ah, "Time Is Tight" by Booker T and the MG's....<br><br>"Metal Guru" was #1 on my 15th birthday....you can imagine how thrilled I was about that!....and a year later, "Can the Can" - Suzi Quatro was #1 in the morning, come lunchtime it was knocked off by "See My Baby Jive" by Wizzard......<br><br>That old transistor radio used to go absolutely everywhere...used to annoy the hell out of my mates when we went fishing, but there was no way I was going to sit for hours looking at a float without music...<br><br>And one time....in the school Library, a rainy dinnertime.....used to have to turn the volume all the way up, remember those crappy mono earpieces? I had long hair, used to put the radio in my inside jacket pocket and hide the wire under my collar....somehow the earpiece came out, just as Donny Osmond was belting out "Someone help me, help me pleeeeeeeeeeeease...."<br><br>Another time during a German lesson, was listening to Walker's daily derby....the two contestants were deadlocked, so the tie-break questions were along the lines of "what year was such-and-such record a hit"....teacher, Miss Price, asked me to translate something into German and I replied "1965".....<br><br>Ahhhh happy days....<br><br> :D  :D  :D <br><br>Vic]]></content:encoded>

Always listen to him as he tends to play the only descent stuff on Radio  2 in the daytime. Does good interviews too after 6:30pm usually with our contempory artists and some new artists. Remember his lunchtime show on Radio 1 back in the early 70's?<br><br>I agree Rodders this song does sound like John's early solo stuff. I thought it came out about the time of Wall and Bridges and I was very surprised when I found out it was from Milk &amp; Honey.
