                        <content:encoded><![CDATA[Hello reynold;<br>The Roman numeral system is used <br>so one can choose any chord one wants to play it in....<br>it is based on the full chords of  the diatonic scale.<br>For instance, in E major:<br>I=E<br>III7=G#7 <I><B></B></I><br>IIm=F#m <br>IV=A        <br>V7=B7<br>in C major:<br>I=C         <br>III7= E7          <br>IIm= Dm       <br>IV= F        <br>V7=G7<br>To be strictly correct, my minors should have simply been lower case (ii)<br>but they sometimes appear to show up poorly in this font.<br>You will likely run into Roman numeral designations<br>elsewhere at some point.
