Steve Miller was my first â€œmajorâ€ concert. So he always holds a special meaning for me. I saw him in 1970 or '71 before Joker came out. His big hits at that time were Space Cowboy and Living in the U.S.A. I was always very impressed with Steve Miller. He didn't have any kind of special voice, yet he was a great singer. He is also a GREAT guitar player. He would have to go on any list of highly underrated players.

Alright, that was the intro. Pretty simple, starts off with power 
chords. Make sure to slide down on the B5 chord. On the little 
hammer-on riff, hold a mini-barre over the 5th and 4th strings with
your index finger. Let the open 6th string ring. On the last section,
give the note at the 5th fret of the 5th string just a little tug.

*The entire Intro (Riff A) is played again at the end of the 2nd  verse.


Now the Verses begin. During the verses Steve plays a simple Blues shuffle. It is the same shuffle just played in B 2 measures, in A 2 measures, in E 2 measures, and then in B 2 measures again. All it is 
is a 5 power chord and 6 power chord. It is straight eighth notes.
Use your index and ring fingers for the 5 chord, index and pinky for
the 6 chord.
