I've been working on this song and this posting was extremely helpful. Thanks a lot.

I had some trouble with the changes in the chorus from Am to Am-Maj7 (had a lot of trouble with that fingering for some reason). I found it much easier to play this section with a barre at the 5th fret. It sounds good and, if you can do barre chords, the changes are very easy. You can try these chords:

Am 577555
Am-Maj7 576555
Am7 575555
D7 x57575

Basically, while holding the barre with your index finger at the 5th fret, you remove your pinky from the Am barre chord and place your middle finger on the D string at the 6th fret for Am-Maj7. Then you remove the middle finger for Am7. Then you move your ring finger from the A string to the D string (at the 7th fret) and place your pinky on the B string of the 7th fret. Very easy.

Hi all,
I saw saw Vic was going to post the guitar solo here but obviously he has had other things om his mind lately so I am willing to put my reputation :? on the line here.
I've tried to tab the way I play the lead, not just the guitar solo. As we usually have two guitars and a keyboard player in the band I don't do chords ( chores? ) more than in the bridge part of this song.
Ok, enough already, here it is:

Intro:

  F Eb G C
|-------------------------------------|---------------------|
|--10------12pbr--10--11~-----12~-----|--13~----------------|
|-------------------------------------|---------------------|
|-------------------------------------|---------------------|
|-------------------------------------|---------------------|
|-------------------------------------|---------------------|

As you can see I play the electric singelnote version of the intro. The verse starts in the second bar above and I just continue playing as follows:

   Cmaj7 C7 F
|--------------------|--------------------|------------------------|
|--12~---------------|--11~---------------|------------------------|
|--------------------|--------------------|-------810------9------|
|--------------------|--------------------|------------------------|
|--------------------|--------------------|------------------------|
|--------------------|--------------------|------------------------|

  D G Am
-------------------|-----------------------|----------------------------------|
-------------------|--8----10----12--------|----------------------------------|
--7~---------------|-----------------------|--14--14--14--14--13--13--13--13--|
-------------------|-----------------------|----------------------------------|
-------------------|-----------------------|----------------------------------|
-------------------|-----------------------|----------------------------------|

   Am7 F Eb G C

----------------------------------|-------------------------------------|------------|
----------------------------------|--10------12pbr--10--11~-----12~-----|--13~-------|
--12--12--12--12--11--11--11--11--|-------------------------------------|------------|
----------------------------------|-------------------------------------|------------|
----------------------------------|-------------------------------------|------------|
----------------------------------|-------------------------------------|------------|
                                       Here's the intro again

And then there's verse 2 like above but this time the intro ends with:

   A
---------------------|
--14~----------------|
---------------------|
---------------------|
---------------------|
---------------------|

and then we move on to the bridge ( and finally some strumming  ):

| A C#m | F#m | D G | a g# g f# f e |
                     (single notes)

| A C#m | F#m | D G | c h a# a g# g |

and now the solo:

Guitar solo:

     C Cmaj7 C7

|----------------------|------------------------------|---------------------------------|
|----------------------|------------------------------|---------------------------------|
|----------------------|------------------------------|---------------------------------|

   F D

--12-10-8--------------8-8-----------|--------------------------------|

----------------------------79------|--------------------7--7--7-----|
-------------------------------------|--7~-------9--7--9--------------|
-------------------------------------|--------------------------------|
-------------------------------------|--------------------------------|

  G Am
---------------------------12----11--10--|-----------------------|
--10br-10br-8-----14-13-11---------------|-----------------------|
-----------------------------------------|------7br-5-----7br-5--|
-----------------------------------------|-----------------------|
-----------------------------------------|-----------------------|
-----------------------------------------|-----------------------|

  Am7 F Eb G C
--------------1012--10------10~------|-------------------------------------|------------
-----------8-------------13-------13--|--10~-----12pbr--10--11~-----12~-----|--13~------
-7br-5--9-----------------------------|-------------------------------------|-----------
--------------------------------------|-------------------------------------|-----------
--------------------------------------|-------------------------------------|-----------
--------------------------------------|-------------------------------------|-----------

After the solo it's back to the lead as in verse 2 but the ending with the intro riff is a tad different:

          F Eb G
|-------------------------------------|
|--10~-----12pbr--10--11~-----12~-----|
|-------------------------------------|
|-------------------------------------|
|-------------------------------------|
|-------------------------------------|

   A F Eb G C
|-------------14-13-12-------|-------------------------------------|---------------------|
|--14~-----------------------|--10~-----12pbr--10--11~-----12~-----|--13~----------------|
|----------------------------|-------------------------------------|---------------------|
|----------------------------|-------------------------------------|---------------------|
|----------------------------|-------------------------------------|---------------------|
|----------------------------|-------------------------------------|---------------------|

Done! Whew!
I never would have thought there would be this incredible amount of work just to explain how to play a song. And I didn't even bother with the lyrics... I mean some of the guys on this forum have tabbed and shared more than one great song! I am truly impressed !

All the best.
\henry
