My notation is where there's brackets, it means bend up to that note. If a note immediately follows (without a dash) then bend back down to it before releasing.

(Remember to downtune a fret if you're playing it along to the song).

Here's the first solo tabbed out how I play it (I prefer to solo around the 12th fret, although slash plays it lower down on the first few strings instead):

Just not too sure about the "where do we go" etc etc bit I cant seem to make the pattern fit the lyrics :?

As for the intro, well after probably 40 or so hours of practicing that riff I have finally got it up to speed :wink:

Yes except the C / D chords, which i just do two big downstrokes each to get that recognisable "dum dum.....dum dum" bit - you know what i mean I hope!

I second that, this site is the best thing that's ever happened to me online. Its such a rareity to find a site with no back stabbing, no egos, and genuinely helpful people that give up their time to help others.

That's one of the reasons i do try and post songs on the ESD and try and explain in my own simple way how to play them. Its just i feel like its giving something back when we make the effort to do this.

I was reading a post the other day from someone who listed out all the songs they had learned off the ESD, and it was a LOT. And I thought to myself how great it is to be able to go into one site, and learn all that stuff.

Much respect to everyone on here...and let's hope it carries on like this for as long as possible.

For acoustic purposes, transpose the intro/solo down to the first position. So 12 would be open, 14 would be 2, 15 would be 3, etc. Might not sound right on the electric, but it makes for a nice acoustic version.
