new member here. Actually new guitar player here, well sort of, since it been over 25 years since I plucked a guitar.

Anyways, was motivated to pick up playing guitar this year because I wanted to learn some xmas songs for the festive season. I have done just that, with most of the songs I want to learn available at chordie.

But the problem for me is the mundaneness of the chord progressions. So I took the bold step (for me at least), inspired by David H's awesome posts, to bring together chord progression and melody, adding some much needed spice for playing these tunes.

For my first attempt I chose a relatively easy song, "We Wish You a Merry Christmas." Admittedly I am still not playing this arrangement at a regular tempo as the chord changes are providing em with quite a challenge, but a fun and welcome challenge.

So here it is, and as I work out others I will post those as well.
