In the Windows audio settings have the default playback device as your soundcard. In Live! have your Black Box ASIO Loaded.  YOu should be able to hear audio from your speakers connected to your soundcard.  Check the settings for the black box and make sure that S/PDIF digital output is enabled. In Windows mixer, check and make sure that s/pdif input is enabled and NOT muted.]]></content:encoded>

Select The Black Box from the drop down menus for default playback device, default recording device and default midi device. Check the box marked "use preferred devices only". Click apply and OK. <br><br>Now just connect your speakers to your Black Box. You may need to get a STEREO mini jack to dual mono phone(1/4") jacks. <br><br>I just checked out m-audio's site. I noticed that the Black box has a S/PDIF output. If your soundcard has S/PDIF (RCA connecter) input, you could keep the default <B>playback</B> device as your current soundcard and monitor the digital output from the Black Box through that.]]></content:encoded>

What that means basically is that you need to either get a seperate set of monitors specifically for the Black box, get used to switching your monitors from the BB to the comp or just use the Black Box as your soundcard. If you don't intend on doing any gaming using surround speakers, this shouldn't be a problem.]]></content:encoded>

                        <content:encoded><![CDATA[I changed the drivers to the ASIO and the audio device setting to M-AUDIO USB ASIO, and now i can see on the software that there is no delay or latency, however there is now no sound coming from the speakers, the signal input light on the box itself is flashing at all the right times and the sounds appear on the audio level moniter bars in Live. <br><br>Thanks alot for this, i think we're getting somewhere :)]]></content:encoded>

First check and make sure that you are using the M-Audio ASIO drivers in Live! and not Windows sound mapper or something to that effect. This setting should be found in Live!'s system settings, preferences. or option panel whichever the case may be. If you are using the correct ASIO and are still getting lengthy latency, you may need to adjust the audio buffers which should be accessible either through Live!'s settings once again or if the black box has some sort of advanced settings in the form of a tray icon or additional option in windows audio properties panel,  you should be able to adjust the buffers there. <br><br>Try this out and repost if you still need help.]]></content:encoded>

                        <content:encoded><![CDATA[Hi all, i just opened my Black Box thingy and got it all hooked up through USB, using the 'Live' software that came with it i was able to hear the drum samples ok through the PC and then plugged the guitar in and attempted to play along with the drum track, however there appears to be a sound delay in getting to the PC from the guitar, i pick a note and 2 secs later it comes out of the speakers, this makes it almost impossible to play along with the drumtrack, can anyone shed any light on why this is happening and what i can do to fix it. <br><br>thanks alot folks]]></content:encoded>
