                        <content:encoded><![CDATA[Ok, let's try the basic things first.<br><br>1) is the RP355 turned on?<br><br>2) is the USB cable plugged into both the computer and the RP355?<br>- if you have it turned on and then plug the USB cable in you should briefly see "USB IN" on the LED display<br><br>3) do you have the right version of system software on the RP355?<br>- it requires version 1.3 or later (1.4 is the newest)<br>- the RP355 will tell you the version when you turn it on<br><br>4) bring it up in this order<br>a) power on the RP355<br>b) plug in the USB cable<br>c) start X-Edit<br><br>5) I assume that you have a WinPC since you mention the USB audio drivers - have you tried reinstalling those from the Win CDs/DVDs that came with your computer or an OS upgrade you purchased? I can't be of much help here since I'm pretty much a Mac and Unix guy.]]></content:encoded>

                        <content:encoded><![CDATA[I'm trying to download and set up x-edit for the first time since getting my RP355, and it looks like the drivers installed okay, but when I go to open x-edit, it says:<br>Quote:<br><br>X-Edit was unable to locate a device. This may happen for the following reasons:<br><br>- The device is not connected to your computer<br>- X-Edit is already running (try opening presets from within the application)<br>- Another application is already using the device's MIDI ports<br>- The USB MIDI drivers have not been properly installed<br><br><br>I'll admit I'm not too computer-swift, but I tried looking up how to troubleshoot these things, but come up with zilch on the Digitech website.
