My GT-10 does that mute thing per setting while in tuning mode, but still allows a bit of sound to come through. It's totally clean and not loud. Just enough to hear a bit of the guitar during the tuning. Oddly enough, it does not come through digitally. For example, Reaper does not pick anything up until I go out of tuning mode. The amp does, though. I think there is an additional setting I can make, but I don't want to. I don't play live anywheres, so no need.

The 4CM is a method that allows one to skip the pre-amp section in their amplifier so that you're not getting a double the color thing going on. I've done that on an old solid state amp I used to have. My current amp does not have the jacks for this. However, and why I am even responding, is that that I love a MFX going through a tube amp. I took my MFX unit and made it sound good in Audacity (recording software I was using at the time), my PC headphones/out, the MFX headphones out and to a full range amp I have elsewhere in the house. As soon as I was where I wanted to be with the MFX unit, I went to my guitar amp and plugged directly into it simply using the guitar -> MFX -> Amp method and dialed back my amp (a Fender Super Champ XD) and am quite pleased. I mean, if you're modelling a tube amp, it's gonna sound really good coming out of a tube amp if it's toned down to get rid of that "too much of a good thing..." factor.

That makes sense.
Perhaps not the best design, but it does explain it.

Right now, the Line 6 m13 is just going through the fx loop A.... and when I use my m13 onboard tuner, even though it's set to mute audio, a very small amount of audio still goes through the amp which is obviously undesirable (also my "fx mix" is set to %100) any help there?

2. I've been reading alot about the 4 cable method, seems to be the way to go, is it possible to remedy the signal not being totally muted problem I have in number 1 doing this?

3. I've been through countless forums and I wanna know if I can use my m13 to switch the channels on my TSL 100 to avoid the tap dance that we all go through, is there is a special cable or "midi gizmo" I need to buy to hook this up? i.e. when i switch to a different scene have my clean channel engaged instead of having to drag the TSL footswitch out and tap the extra button (which by the way is dying a slow death!!!)

ANY HELP at all will be appreciated, I've exhausted my research and am completely new to midi when it comes to controlling effects. Thanks so much to anyone in advance who helps me out!

I'd also like to add that I've spent A LONG TIME researching to no avail.
