It is funny how very minor mistakes will get you. One time at a gig Dom our bass player started freaking out because he couldn't get a sound out of his bass rig. For at least 15 minutes he tried everything (switching cables, by-passing effects...) but no go. It was getting near time to start, he was really upset.

So I ask him, "is the cab hooked up to the amp?". He looks behind the amp. 2) Perhaps one of your pedals has a mute feature (like the Boss TU2 tuner for instance)?

3) Are the cables correct, positive-tip, negative-sleeve on both ends?

4) Are all jacks pushed in all the way (this has gotten me many times)?


I would just go from the output of each pedal straight to the amp. Then you will be able to determine the bad connection.
