One time at a gig Dom our bass player started freaking out because he couldn't get a sound out of his bass rig. For at least 15 minutes he tried everything (switching cables, by-passing effects...) but no go. It was getting near time to start, he was really upset. <br><br>So I ask him, "is the cab hooked up to the amp?". He looks behind the amp. He had simply forgotten to plug the cab in.   :roll:]]></content:encoded>

Also make sure you push the end of the cable in far enough so the little spike inside the plug (the tip) makes good contact with the core of the cable.<br><br>Also, to add to the above, make sure the power-source of the board has voltages that match all your pedals; some pedals are 9 volt, some are 18.]]></content:encoded>

Then you will be able to determine the bad connection. Go from the start of your effects chain to the end.]]></content:encoded>

Now, I am smart enough to know that my new connections arent connecting but anyone have experience with this type of cable?  Basically, I am unscrewing the little screw that holds the cable in and pushing the cable in.. Then screwing the screw back down.<br><br>Jim]]></content:encoded>
