Here is my effects loop chain: Planet Waves Tuner > Boss GE-7 EQ > Livewire ABY Switch :A > effects return: B > Digitech Hardwire Delay > effects return via Y cable. I'm using the ABY switch because I use the tap tempo setting on my delay pedal and the procedure for entering/exiting tap tempo mode on it is cumbersome. The EQ is a recent addition and before I had it I was using my amp's footswitch to bypass my effects loop. Now that I have the EQ in the loop (it sounds better in the loop than in front of the amp) I needed a way to bypass the delay pedal, thus the ABY switch. I have since come to discover that the little Y cable is causing me problems. When I'm on channel A (straight back to effects return), I'm getting a drop in volume and tone change when the delay pedal is on even though it is bypassed. When I do turn off the delay pedal everything is fine. Apparently the Y cable isn't meant to be used how I'm using it. Is there a cable that is meant for this sort of thing? Or am I going to need another ABY switch to bring the paths back together after the delay pedal?

Thanks,
Adam.
