It isn't an A. But the A note is in the chord. I was hearing it and I played the notes very 'near' or quickly so they can not easily heard.
Ok, some clues. First, it is a kind of beginner chord which is used rather another chord sometimes. Second, it is used in one of the U2 songs.

It is! :D
The song is One, these days with a new version by U2 and Mary J. Blige. Sometimes David recommends the use of this chord rather than a F, for example, in House of rising sun.

Well, I don't know how to give a better clue to this one then what Rodders gave, except to also add that the name of this chord & how to play the song it's in is posted somewhere on the GN forum. Shug would know this one. :wink:
