Sure we could say "just play it this way because it sounds cool", but who would that help?<br><br>You'll see as you run through the lessons that everything has a little learning attached to it.<br><br>We also never claim to post exact duplications of the way it's done on the record.]]></content:encoded>

                        <content:encoded><![CDATA[Hi I just read through <a href="https://www.guitarnoise.com/lessons/preparing-to-climb/">Preparing To Climb – or, So I Know A Scale. Now What?</a>, the analysis of Lindsay Buckingham's solo on Landslide. The article neglects to mention that he's obviously using a capo on the 3rd fret and playing out of a C shape, which makes it quite a bit easier to play. <br><br>Also, the choice of the mixolydian scale is called into question, I think the obvious answer (which is not mentioned) is that the Mixolydian scale is also known as the "rock scale", and a lot of rock players don't even think about the modal approach, they just use the b7 because it sounds good. <br><br>Thanks for all the free lessons, I just thought i would mention those things because I think it's slightly overcomplicated for a beginning player the way it's explained.<br><br>Regards,<br>Abby]]></content:encoded>
