If I'd seen this without a title or a name I'd still have known who'd written it - you've got quite a distinctive style there, very dark, very poetic and very expressive.......

haven't posted anything in this forum(except the greatest songwriter thing) yet. don't know why. but there are so many songs which don't fit in sunday songwriters...and I wanna know what someone else thinks about them;) so here is one I wrote last tuesday:

it was inspired by something conor oberst said in the interview on the "fevers&mirrors"record, that he used to carry a safety pin around to hurt himself to draw people's attention to himself but then again he doesn't like attention:)
I've been wanting to use 'safety pin' in a song ever since I heard that(which was last year around christmas).
