Hi all,
This song is wtritten inspired by something a friend of mine said to me a while ago. we were discussing a lad who'd just broken up withhis girlfriend, (or rather shed ditched him) and the extent to which its important for the blokes to rally round him in this kind of time. He used to phrase show your colours, but ive reinterpreted it as flying the flag for the guy. I see this is a punky kind of rant mostly, sneering verses and stacato angry chorus with powrchord stabs. Anyway, let me know what you think,

Fly the Flag

It all goes wrong,
She's not at home,
Her phone is off,
She won't call you,

She's out again,
With someone new,
Some other guy,
Some guy not you,

(chorus)
So when you ditch your cheating slag,
Go call your friends
They'll fly the flag!

You call again,
Some guy picks up,
You slam it down,
You've had enough,

(chorus)
So when you ditch your cheating slag,
Go call your friends
They'll fly the flag!

You see her out,
You turn away,
Another beer,
Another day

You didn't need this,
You didn't choose this,
You didn't want this,
But got it,

(chorus/outro)
So when you ditch your cheating slag,
Go call your friends
They'll fly the flag!
