I applied them already.<br>Another "Heartbreak" hotel was out, so "Heartwreck" went with "Hittin' the deck" escape.<br>But it does seem corny because everybody's mind is already attuned to Elvis. Oh, well, what the heck!<br><br>And BarnaBusRox, sorry to disappoint because I am too.<br>I don't do music, just lyrics. I do a lot of humming. Need a music collaborator tech.]]></content:encoded>

I can see why you wouldn't want to call a song Heartbreak Hotel - that's just too synonymous with Elvis. Maybe something like "The Heartache Hotel" would work - similar but different.<br><br>Couple of minor points....<br><br>"I'll be singin' songs with a happier sound <br>For a darlin' who'll turn your head around"<br><br>You're changing perspective mid-song.....maybe something like<br><br>"I'll be singin' songs with a happier sound <br>For the darlin' who turned my head around" <br><br>would fit better. Then this line, "There never sang a bluebird 'cause of the chill" looks a little forced - maybe "bluebirds never sang there 'cause of the chill" would flow more naturally.<br><br>As always, just MY opinion....nice bouncy upbeat song.
