My only comment would be this:

In verse 3

time passes a little quickly now

and the music you play takes you away from that stinging ringing sound

It felt like it should be something like this:

time passes a little quickly now
He's ready for another round

I think it sets up the next line well with her wanting to get away from the ringing sound, which plays on the bell at a boxing match.

Just a thought.
