I've been coming to Guitarnoise for years. Those lyrics? Probably the worst the I've ever written. Not punk, though, definitely not punk.

Interesting though, because I wrote them in a happy mood from a negative perspective. Just wanted to see some thoughts. Don't hold back on your critiquing though, I've been writing for years and I've finally gotten the guts to show words on paper to people I don't know.

I just had a kind of lethargic, distorted guitar riff going through my head at the time. Put some simple drums to it and the words fit. The progression scheme I originally had in mind for the lyrics was about the people who continually lie for recognition, and in order to keep their lies structurally sound, they must lie, ladening their shoulders with evermore stress.

The 'Break it . . . Tear it . . . Speak it . . . Sever' verse is the breaking of the relationships.

I suppose it is kind of hard to interpret that, though I thought the first line introduced the topic.

Can you tell me what you were thinking of when you read it? Besides the fact that there are few words.

I've got to admit I'm struggling - normally we see contributors struggling with lines that are too long to squeeze into a four count.

What are you going for soundwise? Punk or Metal, I presume, but a clue would be helpful.
