Ya im seriously considering moving the land of the free part to the end because it really is the climax of the song, I just happend to write it first. Id have to tweak the begining of the verses a little but it wouldnt be hard, whaddya think? And again I can't really sing into my webcam it has no frequency range at all, im gettin condenser mics soon I can't wait. This song is definetly featuring my bright eyes voice haha, I like my dylan voice more, Im still in the process of figuring out exactly how I like to sing (and write for that matter), it takes time to develope a style and for the most part ive been developing my vocal range and guitar chops, sorta getting all my tools together before I build something. As of now though thats the only type of singing my mic can handle. Hopefully in the coming weeks I can show you guys what im talkin about with the new mics. Thanks for the comments.

I'm going to have to agree with Beans, there's no hooks. The song doesn't go up and down really, it's just that one level, and it doesn't have any sort of climax, which songs like this usually posses.

Plus it does sound a little bit too much like bright eyes. That seems to be common around here. I'd recommend learning some music that you wouldn't normally listen to. You'll find plenty of good songs in the easy songs section from a good variety of artists. I can tell your not a begginer, but that'll just make it all the easier to understand what makes a vibrant composition.

Keep it up!!!

oh, right, and shorten the title of the song to land of the burning trees. It's too direct as it is, and too preachy. Plus too long.

I really didnt wanna put up any music till i could do it right, that was a sketch not a final product. Thanks though that song definetly has a lot of bright eyes in it, too much really but I don't think i've written enough yet to really have a unique style. I wish I had more time to devote to it but im takin organic chem and bio this semester haha it blows. One question, what do you mean the music didnt change? Do you mean I never leave the key? Cause it has 3 different parts but they're all diatonic.
