                        <content:encoded><![CDATA[I was wondering if anyone could tell me if it would be detrimental to the integrity of my Squier strat if I put the last 6 strings of an 8 string set on it? Also, if any modifications would be necessary to the tuning nuts or the truss rod in order to compensate the thicker strings? And just to clarify, I will not be using all 8  strings from the set, just the last six (F#, B, E, A, D, G). And I understand that some of what I am asking depends on the gauge of the strings.
