I'd highly recommend getting a few lessons from a classical guitar instructor, maybe 6 lessons and just concentrate on form and technique. You want to set yourself up with the proper form in the beginning, especially when it comes to classical guitar.]]></content:encoded>

You can go a long way on your own, but there are some things where you just need a teacher to grab your fingers and put them somewhere else every now and then. Can you really learn guitar itself from just books? Given how classical requires intense technique, i think getting a teacher is the best thing you can do, but the Aaron Shearer book is really good in terms of describing hand positions so it's probably the next best thing besides getting a teacher. The Frederick M. Noad book has alot of info in it as well, both are great investments and with a good teacher and good attitude i'm sure you could learn classical.]]></content:encoded>
