When I bought Madeleine (yes, I named my guitar, I bet I'm not the only one) it was only after I'd strummed every guitar in the shop to find one that sung to me. And since I make ambient/experimental music, I have no problem at all in things not sounding as they are "supposed" to!

Back to practicing, then!

Thanks,
Gwydi

You need to learn the technique at first anyway, so it doesn't matter as much what the quality of the sound is. It won't sound too bad anyway, but if you want to start playing acoustic slide guitar then I could see nylon strings as being more of an issue. But for regular blues playing, just play with what you have.

That guitar appears to be a fairly nice guitar for the price. From what I know of Ibanez lately they've been producing excellent guitars and incredible prices. Learn to play the bluies on your nylon string. Who cares what other people think. I don't think it would be all that unusual to see a nylon string guitar in a bluesmans hand. Just don't bastardize that guitar. Please.
