There is a flanger going through pretty much the entire song, though, on the (synthesized?) bassline. It's really obvious in the first 10 seconds of the song. this is a link to a song which we have been asked to play for a wedding today (that is, we were asked today, its not the wedding for a while).

the playing looks very simple and straghtforward which is a bonus, but to my ears there is a little riff in the chorus which is using some sort of effect i cant put my finger on and i want to get it right if its a wedding request. i think perhaps it is a phaser but im not sure.

the riff starts at 2 minutes 7 seconds into the vid, and it is a real simple 4 note pentatonic box thing, but can anybody help me out with the effect the guy is using?
