I've got a cort accoustic. I bought it brand new about two years ago. It sounded and played great when I bought it, but last month it started buzzing around the 12th fret. I got to looking at it, and noticed that the fret is lifting out of it's grove. I pushed the fret back into place, and it kind of fixed it. I'm still getting a slight buzz.

Other than that, the frets have very uneaven wear, which they shouldn't. I don't limit my playing to one area of the fretboard. I think it's due for a good fret job, I just don't have the time to do it myself, and I don't feel like paying someone to do something I can do myself. I just hope that when I eventually get around to doing it, that the guitar will sound as good as it did when I bought it.

I would probably not buy another cort guitar. Not when I can get a washburn or a takamine for about the same as what I paid for the cort.

Well I have a Cort M200-but that's an electric guitar not an acoustic.

As to quality-I have played some Corts that are VERY crappy.

But then, one day while I was checking out a local guitar shop, I came across my M200. Now I had been entertaining the idea of buying an Epi LP at the time and had played numerous LPs. But the M200 played 10X better. However, my M200 was not the only one there. There was another (in a different color) that I tried as well. To make a long story short, the other guitar was not a very good guitar

I guess what I am trying to get at is, find a guitar store and just start playing guitars until you find one that feels good. I know you said that you had been playing for a while, but it wouldn't hurt to find someone else that plays to go with you and give you a second opinion.

Hope this helps!

~Ryan
