So I use stringbusters.com. I pay around half the shop price for Hannabach (the shop price being Â£13 a set). I buy from a guitar shop that I know via ebay. I pay, including postage, around half that (ca. â‚¬42 for the 12-pack). The shop won't even sell them them to you at that price other than by ebay. I've bought both GHS Boomers and Martin Bronze acoustics.<br><br>When they have them, D'Adarrios come out almost â‚¬1 more than that per set.]]></content:encoded>

Even though I have 3 independant shops (that I know of) a GC and a Sam Ashe all within reasonable driving distance.<br><br>Got my brands narrowed down to just a couple so when I can find a discount on some bulk w/o having to pay shipping I don't see why not.<br><br>Will have to start a database on all the sites, prices and dollar value before the free shipping kicks in to see who offers the best value.<br><br>But it will take away from the experience of buying strings as Vic pointed out.  You don't get to play with all the toys by shopping on the web.  :lol: <br><br>Michael]]></content:encoded>

Actually, I do the same thing when I buy strings at the store. I tend to purchase 2 or three sets so I always have an extra set even after I replace the ones I need. Just a matter of planning ahead. One or two pairs of strings aren't going to sit around the house and get any older than they would at the store so I don't see any real problems with it. Plus sometime you same a buck or so by buying more than one set.]]></content:encoded>
