                        <content:encoded><![CDATA[Thanks Moonrider, I'll probably book mine in to get lowered with the guy I bought it from, he does all the local repairs for Fender, so I think he should be reliable.<br><br>That's true about it feeling a bit weird when you change from playing electric to acoustic and vice versa - it felt really weird playing an electric for the first time after playing only on an acoustic - the strings felt funny and were closer together, and I tried to play an B B King song like B B King and it sounded pathetic. The trick is to keep playing both regularly I think.  I stopped playing my mandolin for months when I got a new acoustic guitar, then when I got back on it it seemed so tiny and hard on the fingers (it's got double strings), now I play both regularly and the adjustment is easy.]]></content:encoded>

I just measured mine and it's about 4 and a half millimetres at 12th.


Violet, my Martin is  set at 7/64 of an inch above the 12th fret, which is approximately 2.7 mm]]></content:encoded>

Finger memory tells me to press lightly on the strings, when I should be giving it some more pressure.<br><br>Very nice neck and the sound is really full and round - I'm going to see if I can get to the guitar shop today and buy a new set of strings for it.]]></content:encoded>

If the new Seagull is<B> that </B>much harder to fret than an electric, you should seriously consider taking it to a luthier and having a good setup done on it. <br><br>My acoustics <B>are</B> harder to fret than my electrics,  but even my 12 string doesn't take as much as twice the force to fret. The difference in my six string is simply the difference between 10's and 12's.<br><br>Take it to a luthier - you'll be amazed at how easy your acoustic can play.]]></content:encoded>
