Someone who bangs random pots isn't a musician. Someone who bangs pots with a purpose of creating something rythmic IS a musician.

i understand Dibatio's a devoted guy. it shows. I can't move my fingers that fast. that's great, to be devoted to something like that. I just don't think he channels his energies into making something memorable. Sure, he is trying to do that, but I don't think he accomplishes that. He's a great guitar player, but he sure isn't a great musician. There is a difference. Of course, some may differ and that's cool. Someone said all good rock and roll is mostly theatre (that was awfully paraphrased, sorry), and he's definitely got that going for him.

That being said, I suppose you could say that A & R guys and marketing staff are extremely talented musicians.

He want' to promote talent in music. There's a concept. The idea that rock stars could actually play instruments better than the average guy. That an "artist" could actually play an instrument at all is becoming a rarity. More often now are "DJ"s. Okay they can drop a needle. Somehow this is now considered a talent. And, scrubbing (scratching as most people call it) is a skill? Whatever. I say the world needs more Michaelangelos and fewer DJs. Just my opinion. End of rant.

Regarding the Mario Theme: That's generally played on one guitar. There was another video of some other hair dude playing it on one guitar, though not as fluently.
