I checked out the early electric guitar stuff; like on Sun Records, Chess, etc. man those guys had some great phrases.
every now and then I am able to cop one or two. many I can't figure out what the heck they are doing.

another thing to remember is to give the notes played more meaning.
most stuff I here today is about loud and fast and same weight.
I like dynamics in solos. loud, soft, fast, slow, bendy, hammered.
phrasing, timing, tone will come after time. thinking outside the box, working the guitar and coaxing stuff out of it,
listening , for example. things that come with playing time on the guitar.

I can play chords well and give them flavor with strumming flourishes and hammer-ons, I can play scales reasonably well, Minor, harmonic and melodic, Major, Pentatonics, Major with 7th b ( whatver you call that ) and moving them up the freatboard etc etc. I can play in public, and sing a little too, I dont get nervous in front of people ( well maybe a little bit ^^ )

My problem is, when I solo, Idk, I cant seem to find my voice, I cant seem to find what I want to play, lol existencial crisis.

:( My picking is good, my hammers and pull offs are good, tapping is good, but I dont know what to do with everything, I dont wanna learn alot of licks to fall back on, I want to o.o improvise.
