I'll third this concept.  I read an interview with B.B. King somewhere and he talked about singing through the guitar.  So I tried it and I found it made my soloing much better.   I started making the guitar faces too. :D]]></content:encoded>

                        <content:encoded><![CDATA[listen to the solos and practice the phrases. copy and add yourself.<br>I feel the same way as you often. so I began listening to all kinds of guitar playing in the songs I found.<br>I checked out the early electric guitar stuff; like on Sun Records, Chess, etc. man those guys had some great phrases.<br>every now and then I am able to cop one or two. many I can't figure out what the heck they are doing.<br><br>another thing to remember is to give the notes played more meaning.<br>most stuff I here today is about loud and fast and same weight.<br>I like dynamics in solos. loud, soft, fast, slow, bendy, hammered.<br>phrasing, timing, tone will come after time. thinking outside the box, working the guitar and coaxing stuff out of it,<br>listening , for example. things that come with playing time on the guitar.<br>or...<br>you could go to the crossroads and make a deal. :evil:]]></content:encoded>

                        <content:encoded><![CDATA[Ok, so I can do rhythm well in 4/4, 3/4, 2/4, 6/8, and alot of stuff ( except in 5/4 :O ).<br><br>I can play chords well and give them flavor with strumming flourishes and hammer-ons, I can play scales reasonably well, Minor, harmonic and melodic,  Major, Pentatonics, Major with 7th b ( whatver you call that ) and moving them up the freatboard etc etc. I can play in public, and sing a little too, I dont get nervous in front of people ( well maybe a little bit ^^ ) <br><br>My problem is, when I solo, Idk, I cant seem to find my voice, I cant seem to find what I want to play, lol existencial crisis.<br><br>:( My picking is good, my hammers and pull offs are good, tapping is good, but I dont know what to do with everything, I dont wanna learn alot of licks to fall back on, I want to o.o improvise.<br><br>Tips anyone ?]]></content:encoded>
