I have gone through so many pedals that I finally got sick of the modeled sounds.
way too generic sounding after a while. I have a pedal or two that have both been modded to my specs.
I am set. it is my ability now that gets the work out niot my fingers pushing buttons or twiddling dials.

like I said I am old school.
I think computers inside instruments is the new deal and beconming more popular.

I also found that Line 6 Variax to be very impressive, but it has too many bells and whistles for my taste, and it is out of my price range. I really like the modelings of different instruments. I had to rewind and play the Sitar part again. If that sort of thing floats your boat, have you considered a Variax? It might be cheaper and have more 'guitars' on board. Here's a demo of a few of the sounds:

What do you folks think? Anyone have one of these? Sounds so nice, and looks sweet too. I think it'd be great to play around on acoustic and electric so easily without having to switch guitars.
