I thought that the two tracks things would be so easy..... haha.. It is great when you nail it though.

I've managed it with a rhythm track and a solo over the top, but singing still eludes me. :?

To be fair, I only tried it quickly yesterday for the first time. But it was much harder than I thought. I'd assumed it would be easier not having to play and sing at the same time, but boy was I wrong. I couldn't come in on time, couldn't hear the playing properly, couldn't hold the tune, the key or the volume.....aaaah...disaster!!

The first time you record something that sounds good to you....

The first time you record one of your own songs and it sounds good to you...

The first time you use more than two tracks to record something...

The first time you play one of your own songs in the pub and someone says "that was good, where can I find a tab for it?"

The first time you play along with a song you don't know that well by following other people's chord changes by watching their fingers...

You play your first open mic, you don't forget the lyrics, and you get through the chord changes without any major mishaps...

Hmmmmm......all the above have happened to me in the last 18 months...
