The Regent just feels the best in my hands. But it's at the top of the price range, and I'm not sure that the difference is that much.

The Ibanez AF105 is a nice compromise in price from the Regent and is clearly a high quality instrument. The Regent has better accoustic tone, but the Ibanez pickups a tad hotter, and I tend to like it's amplified sound a bit more. I also like the AF105 finish the best.

The Joe Pass, as you noted, is the most versitile, and the least likely to feedback. The feel of the Joe Pass is close to the Regent, it's better than the Artcore, but not by much.

AF105 and Regent: In this price range, I'm not sure you will be getting the full value of a floating pup, as their tops are probably laminated anyway. If choosing between those two, I'd give the edge to the Ibanez based on quality.

Looking for that smooth full classic jazz sound, and value for the money. I'm pretty sure that one of these is the right choice, but I'm having a devil of time making up my mind!
