Once you understand why the pots in a strat are reversed then the rest is a peice of cake. Try this site, Ive proformed many Modifications with a little help from my friends at GN2. I found strats and strat copies on ebay to be much cheeper

I want to find a guitar that has two humbuckers ( not single coils as I'm practicing for a les paul), 2 tone knobs, 2 volumes, and a 3 way selector switch, and has the ability to hold strings. I don't plan on ever really playing this guitar, I just want to test out my wiring skills. I plan to rip put all the wiring and try wiring the guitar from scratch. Don't care how bad it sounds, i just need something cheap.

Any idea where i could get something like that for as cheap as possible? Thanks.
