If you're in the US, and regularly perform your own original work, I'd recommend the PRO be BMI. (<I>Disclaimer: I AM a BMI affiliated songwriter!</I>)<br><br>BMI is free to join, and has a program called "BMI Live" This program allows the performer to notify BMI whenever they've performed an original song in public (date and venue, your songs played). Then, when the next royalty distribution comes out, you collect the royalties due!<br><br>As far as I know, they're the only US based PRO that does this. I think ASCAP and SESAC are still using the "radio play" method of determining royalty payouts.]]></content:encoded>
