I looked at a Martin DCX1E over the weekend at Guitar Center. I came real close to buying it as I liked the sound, but I decided to wait. Something told me not to jump too soon. The sales girl told me the back and sides were wood. I looked it up yesterday on the internet and found that this guitar is mostly composites including the neck. I know it's a Martin and it sounds good but even the sales girls said it wouldn't sound as good as a more expensive one. I just can't see putting $700.00 in a composite guitar. I don't think it will hold it's value as well as a true wood either. Any body have one or experience with one?
