There's ALWAYS a good reason to buy a Strat. :D

Same here. Granted, I've got 5 springs in it, the bridge set flush with the body, and I don't use the wang bar, and I'm sure that's a lot of it. That said, I tend to play at least a couple hours a day and I only find it needs to be tuned every four days or so.

Based on what everyone has said, I won't be afraid to try out a few MIM Strats when I go looking and maybe same my self some cash.
Thanks again.

Remember, its the "vibe", if a MIA is really talking to you, and all the other guitars seem like crap, don't be afraid to get it. You won't be dissapointed. With that said, vice versa with a MIM is sure possible... :)

On the Jimmy Vaughan Strat, thats probably my favorite Strat I've ever tried, except for my 200 buck Agile (It's got the vibe! :) ), and a used MIJ strung with 12's( I would string my own agile with twelve's, but they're not in any of the stores I've tried except in Acoustic).. Happy buying! :D

I have a fender MiM strat. IMO it is an awesome guitar for the cost. I dont know about eveyrone else but I need to tune my guitar once every 5-6 days, and I play every day. The shape of the neck is comfortable and easily playable. I assume the birdge was made correctly becuase I have not snapped a string yet. (only while tuning) The pickups are decent when you think of what you're paying, they're nothin special but it gets the job done. I haven't had any problems with it yet in 1 year 5 months of owning it

edit: Ive always wondered about this but why does a squier standard strat(not sure if thats the model) have a 22 fret neck when the Mim strat does not? It's more than twice the price, but they can't add one more fret?
