what a coolo looking guitar. that smokey streak looks like a ghost. maybe some dead guitar hero is lurking.

acoustics are differnt than electrics when it comes to strings etc.
you can tune individual strings without changing the pitch of the others.
one thing that does happen, especially with brand new strings, is that when coming to pitch with one string another may lowewr in pitch or raise in pitch. that's because te strings are stretching out yet and the tension on the neck changes. they do settle in after a few rounds of playing.
you can remove all the strings at the same time, contrary to myth, without hurting anything. I use that time to clean the fuzz from under the strings.
just dont store the guitar stringless.
keeping the guitar away from sunlight windows, heating vents is a good idea. I keep my acoustics in the cases when not in use.
I like being able to grab my acpoustic and play something without having to set up the amp, and effects and plug. you mentioned that once too. it doesnt take that much time to pop the case for ypour acpustic.
it will stay healthier if cased. it's hard sometimes because I love looking at mine. oh well.

if you plan open tuning or down tuning check out a string gauge guide to determine the correct gauge strings to use. it is really important to porper gauge strings on acoustic.

enjoy your wonderful guitar.

Then I clicked on the topic, then I saw the new picture for the nongingerspicy OWA. Some days are like that, all your preconceptions brought crashing down. I thought everyone started acoustic then went electric. Anyways, congratulations and hope you are having as much fun with your new acoustic as I am with my new electric. I still work more with my acoustic than the electric and I would think you are still spending most of your time with your electric. I guess it's a matter of what you first get used to.

And of course I still enjoy the picture changing, it gives the viewer pause when they want to settle into a particular image of a person when of course we are all changing all the time. I look forward to the next image change. I'm rather content with my Johnny Cash, burning ring of fire/rob zombie version of me for the moment. 8)
