Have you heard of the Tremol-no? Sounds to me like it would be good for string changes, but GREAT for things like going into drop-D...

@ Hyperborea - There is a thumb screw on the back that very nicely adjusts the level of the trem unit. This is very handy to be sure that the trem is flat with the body without having to take the trem cavity plate off. There is also a bar that can be removed and applied again that changes the trem from floating to half float.
