Very nice. Neat and well organized including the cables.
My home set-up? Guitar on stand, cable, amp. That's it. :D
Yea Wes but when you're good you don't need much. Maybe if I get half as good as you I'll get rid of some of my gear.
Mike
First, I am not some super great guitar player. Go to the clubs Friday night and see the weekend warriors. That is where I am. I am certainly no Yngwie. :D
Second, I would love to have a studio. But my thing would be amps. I am not interested in having dozens of guitars, but I would love to have many amps. I would just go from one to another.
Your studio is very nice. Now get some more amps. :D
If you know something better than Rock and Roll, I'd like to hear it - Jerry Lee Lewis

Funny you should say that...I ALMOST did on Tuesday when I went ot GC. They had a used Fender 212F in MINT condition for $139!! It's 100watts and it sounded great. It was SOOOOOOOOOO hard to resist and I played with it for 45 minutes. However, my goal is that my next amp will be a Fender tube amp. I narrowed it down to 2 of them (HRD and the Blues Deluxe). I don't really need another solid state amp...but it WAS tempting!
What was the total cost of that setup mike?
Nice set up, Mike!
A great investment (that I didn't see) would be a quality set of monitors. I'm researching them now for myself, if you want, I'll let you know how it goes.
Have a good one.

I wouldn't begin to know...I purchased most of the stuff used on eBay...4 of the guitars I purchased new, the mixer, while I bought it from someone, was brand new still in the box never used, the amp was used, etc...
But then again, the chair was the most expensive part!!!

I thought about that but I am using my amp as a monitor right now. Once I get the tube amp then I'll get monitors.
Thanks
I just hooked up a stereo receiver to my sound card (the receiver was $10 at a garage sale and the speakers $5 at a thrift shop) works well enough for now :D
Mike,
Very, very, very nice set up. You probably put as much as you can probably put into that size space and still keep it orderly looking, and clean. I doubt I'd ever be able to do that. Would never have the patience to move stuff to get the vacuum in there, then move everything back. Totally impressed.
Rock on,
Michael

Heck, I'm a total SLOB  I'm impressed also :D
As per your suggestion I got myself a better chair. You were right the one I had became uncomfortable during long practice sessions. I was going to get a bar stool type chair with a foot rest but then it wouldn't work too well while on my laptop. I got this one at WalMart for $17 and it works VERY well! No armrests to get in the way of the guitar and still able to get close to the desk (and it's COMFORTABLE!).
I also took Mike's idea and got a tackle box for my picks. However, I went the extra step and got one a little larger with adjustable compartments so I can also put my capo, polish, Gorilla Snot, Fret Ease, adapters, etc. (It toward the top-left of the picture just below the patchbay). Little by little I'm adding the little things to make it more comfortable.
Keep the suggestions/ideas coming!
Isn't it amazing how even the little things make a difference. :)
Ahhhhhhh organization.............. ah crap! I sound like my mother!
Have a good one!
Mike
