I've been looking for a great sounding and playing classical guitar for some time. Recently I found a used (1998) Amelio Burguet, Model 2A
with Spruce top and solid Rosewood back and sides. The guitar plays
and sounds great!!!

But... after playing it for several minutes I noticed a small 3 inch crack in the top. I showed it to the shop luthier and after looking inside he said it had been professionally repaired underneath with some bracing. He assured me that it was "stronger than ever" and there was nothing to worry about. Is that true? Although I love the guitar I'm concerned about the crack. Should I be? Can it get worse?

BTW - A new 2A sells for around 1,300. This guitar is on consignment for $650. Thanks for the advice!
