dl0571: Still not it, I'm afraid. I should probably make a list of all the manufacturers I've checked already :D I've checked... Parker, PRS, Epiphone, Ibanez, Reverend, Hamer, G&L, Gretsch, Gibson (and their subsidiaries) & Fender. And possibly some I'm forgetting...

According to Paul Simon's website, the guitarist was most likely a member of Daniel Thouin's band, but I can't find any info on them.
You can always remove pickguards and replace pickups. True, but if there wasn't a pickguard then the p90s were mounted in holes the exact size for them.
