Using an acoustic amp for an acoustic-electric with passive pickups would be your best bet.  If that's what you are using already, you might try using a mic rather than the passive electronics.  If not, try and get your hands on someone's solid state and see if thats the problem.<br><br>Another idea would be to get a different pickup installed, or an active pickup.]]></content:encoded>

                        <content:encoded><![CDATA[I have just inherited a very nice Ovation celebration electro acoustic guitar.  Took a while to find the right strings to get the sound i like but now i have its one of the best "bowl" backed guitars i have heard.<br><br>The problem lies in that it only has a passive pickup installed.  When playing with the band my guitar has to be truned up WAY high on the desk to register and causes a speaker buzz because of this.  <br><br>Is there anyway i can pre-amp outside the gutar to acheive a better sound amp'd ?<br><br>any advice appreciated<br><br>Es]]></content:encoded>
