Even with all the technique in the world, if you drive your amp too much, it will sound like poo through a motorized cheese grader. You don't need all the distortion. I run my distortion at around 3 to 4 and I get a crushing metal tone. Also, dont cut the mids. If anything, boost them. Your guitar will cut through the mix better and will just sound cooler( atleast I think it does).]]></content:encoded>
